On the medals' head side, the engraved figures of the goddess of victory Athena, Nike, the Panathenaic stadium and the Acropolis are imposed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) but Paris 2024 has obtained exceptional authorization to add the design of the Eiffel Tower, and use 18 grams of Eiffel Tower metal on each medal, extracted from pieces of the tower. Le Japon suit la Chine avec 4 médailles en or, 2 en argent et 1 en bronze.
Arrive la Corée du Sud avec 4 médailles en or, 2 en argent et 1 en bronze.
L’Australie est 4e avec 4 or et 2 argent. Les Etats-Unis occupent la 5e position avec 12 de médailles obtenues dont 3 en or, 6 en argent et 3 en bronze.
